Graffiti
Graffiti is a highly visible and destructive aspect of antisocial behaviour. It multiplies, making an area look run-down and unloved.
The costs of cleaning up graffiti are enormous and sometimes it cannot be removed completely, leaving permanent scars on the environment. Dealing with graffiti also diverts valuable police and council resources.
So what does The Beechcliffe Face plan to do about the problem of graffiti?
Well firstly we've got to get rid of the graffiti that's already all over our neighbourhood. To do this we're going to need to get the GRUB (Graffiti Removal Unit of Bradford) to help. They can be contacted on 01274 432108. As a community, we need to work closely with Bradford Council to make sure we get our neighbourhood cleaned up.
Once we've had the graffiti cleaned up, we all need to be alert for those who are causing the mess. If you see someone committing this offence, remember as much about their appearance as you can and call the police.
If we repeatedly report offences like this, the authorities will begin to listen to us, so remember to be constantly aware. Why should the majority of Beechcliffe's residents suffer the minority's anti-social behaviour.
